For as long as people have lived on earth they have pondered the great questions: "What is good?" "What is true?" "What is beautiful?" "Does life have meaning? "How can I lead a virtuous and fulfilling life?" "Is there life after death?"
Christians have discovered the answer to these questions in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ personifies goodness. He reveals truth. He lived a beautiful life. He died on a cross for our sins and arose to make it possible for us to have eternal life. We have a future in the plans of God. Life does have meaning!
Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of life.
The "A, B, C’s" of Becoming a Christian
To become a Christian and lead a truly good and beautiful life:
Admit that you do not fully reflect the good, the true, and the beautiful in your life and character. We all fall short. To be blunt, we are sinners.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust Him to save you from sin and death, and to transform your life.
Commit your life to Christ.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
When we make this commitment, God sends his Holy Spirit to forgive our sin, graciously take away our guilt, give us peace with God, and empower us to lead a good and virtuous life to the glory of God.
To Become a Christian
If you want to become a Christian, sincerely pray, "Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner "standing in the need of grace." I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and commit my life to Him. Please forgive me. Please help me to be more like Jesus. Please give me eternal life. I make this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen."
